By the end of the 1950's Quito had only a few hotels, in timeworn buildings of the Colonial Quarter. The demographic growth and modernizing occurring during the second half of the 20th Century demanded new and creative ideas. The inauguration of the HOTEL TOUR BLANCHE in 1973 was the result of a project that understood this need.
